Connexus Hub is a professional services firm that works with Government Agencies and Fortune 500 customers. We are hiring a FOIA Analyst to support FOIA processing.


Job type: W2 + benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k, vacation, sick)



Duties:

  • Assist in searching for records in response to FOIA requests, FOIA Appeals and FOIA lawsuits utilizing a variety of eDiscovery tools.
  • Assist in searching for records in response to Congressional records requests.
  • Assist in publishing FOIA records to the CDC FOIA reading.
  • Assist FOIA and Program staff by uploading and delivering documents as required for FOIA requests. This includes the management of file repositories in SharePoint, file shares, scanned document folders and other data sources when identified.
  • Work with FOIA staff to ensure that FOIA records designated for online posting are posted timely with no errors.
  • Troubleshoot reported issues with FOIAXpress software or SharePoint sites, report issues to vendor, test problem resolutions from vendor and implement solutions in production IT environment. Perform the overall “Admin” user role on all FOIA systems.
  • Assist FOIA and Program staff through training, guidance and documentation on the use of the FOIAXpress software, Microsoft Office products, document scanning, CDC tools and applications and working within the CDC computing environment including CITGO and VPN.

 

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working supporting a federal FOIA Program
  • 5+ years of experience working with FOIAXpress. Advanced proficiency required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
  • Be flexible and able to quickly adapt to the dynamic and evolving operating environment.
  • Fully understand quality expectations and be continuous improvement oriented.
  • Be a team player and be willing to take ownership for the quality of services and work products.
  • Be proficient in the use of the Microsoft (MS) Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) software and other applications applicable to assigned support service area being worked in.
  • If necessary, be able to multi-task, yet be attentive to details.
  • Able to exercise independent technical and professional judgment in the area working.
