Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative in Wahpeton, ND, is a sugarbeet processing facility located in the southern end of the Red River Valley. The approximately 500 shareholder/growers who own the Cooperative broke ground for construction of the facility in 1973 and the factory operations got underway in November 1974. Minn-Dak Farmers Cooperative is a pillar of the community providing 400+ full time/year-round jobs, 60 seasonal jobs, and more than 300 temporary jobs in October during harvest.

With over 60 job classifications in the factory, there are many career opportunities available. Minn-Dak provides on-the-job training for all entry level positions. An enhanced training program for the various work stations in the factory gives employees the opportunity to train for and move into higher paying jobs. The salary for the factory starts at $19.78/hr. Employees working rotating shifts receive an additional $3.00 PER HOUR

Entry Level Factory Positions

• Extra Gang $19.78 per hour, with room for rapid advancement – cleaning crew
• Yardperson Helper $19.78 per hour – assist in loading railcars with molasses and pellets
• Sugar Loading Helper $19.78 per hour – assist in loading railcars and trucks with granulated sugar
• All above Positions are eligible for the $3.00 per hour raise for working rotating shifts.
