USM serves about 1,400 students at its main campus in Leavenworth, its satellite location in Overland Park, as well as online.POSITION SUMMARY:

Saint Mary Ambassadors represent the university to prospective donors, USM alumni, and the public. Ambassadors are expected to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude, participate in donor and alumni events, perform office work, provide outreach to current and prospective donors through fundraising campaigns, maintain a good academic standing, and demonstrate professional office etiquette.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Help staff Office of Advancement events (donor receptions, SpireFest Gala, and others).
  • Assist USM Advancement Department in various administrative tasks.
  • Participate in campus visits and tours with alumni and prospective donors.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward alumni and prospective donors over the phone and in writing.
  • Ability to work up to twenty (20) hours per month on an on-call basis, including some occasional nights and weekends.
  • Availability to attend an initial orientation training (to be determined based on availability).

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Currently enrolled, full-time, University of Saint Mary student.
  • Discretion and confidentiality required.
  • Ability and willingness to take direction.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Must adhere to USM employee dress code.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
