Job Description

  • Demonstrated competence in the specialty areas to be performed, including sonographer certification by The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning (e. g., continuing medical education the specialty areas performed, higher education, staff training etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency with computer skills and software programs used for documentation activities and report generation.


SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • 2+ years of Experience - Required
  • Travel - Highly Preferred
  • GE Experience - Required
  • General Ultrasound and Breast Proficiency - Required


CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • ARDMS
  • BLS (AHA)


ABOUT THE FACILITY
A 139 licensed-bed hospital located in northeast Michigan on the shores of Lake Huron, the facility is the first community hospital opened in 1915 as the Donald McRae Hospital. It served until 1939, when a petition was passed to build a new public hospital. On April 16, 1940, a new 88-licensed bed hospital opened. On April 1, 2016, the facility joined MidMichigan Health, making it the fifth Medical Center in the MidMichigan Health system. To reflect the hospital joining MidMichigan, the Medical Center changed its name. Accredited by The Joint Commission, the Medical Center has approximately 1,000 employees, 200 volunteers and about 100 physicians.
