Landscape Estimator

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced estimator to join our team. The landscaping estimator is responsible for evaluating project sites, estimating costs, and preparing bids for landscaping and hardscaping projects. The estimator  will work closely with clients, and managers to ensure accurate estimates and competitive pricing. Along with going over work orders with our landscaping and hardscaping crews. This job is 50% in office 50% out in the field performing duties.

Duties and responsibilities include the following

• Sell landscape and hardscape projects to residential and commercial properties.
• Utilize our financing program 
• Using our project management software, SingleOps to send estimates and schedule jobs.
• Conduct follow-up meetings with clients to ensure landscape designs are developing as planned.
• Calculate project costs, including materials, labor, subcontractor fees, equipment rental, permits, and overhead expenses.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, site plans, and landscape designs.
• Routinely meets and communicates with clients by answering questions, providing updates, responding to client requests, and ensuring the client’s satisfaction throughout the project

Requirements:

• 3 years of Landscaping experience
• 1-2 years of sales experience
• Ability to travel to project sites and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of tools and equipment
• Knowledge of snow removal operations
• Strong knowledge of landscaping services, hardscaping, and project management
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings, site plans, and landscape designs.
• High level networking skills 
• Proficiency in computer software applications
• Ability to attend after hour networking events
• Must represent Halter Landscaping in a positive and professional manner at all times
• This position may require occasional lifting 50+ pounds, bending, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
