Our position is located in our clinics in beautiful Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley, California.
Introduction
As an Office Lead with The Oncology Institute, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while making a positive impact on the lives of others
This position will require a talented individual who is able to communicate effectively, work collaboratively with our team and provide high-quality service to our patients.
Our Office staff are important. When you join us, you will influence how we provide care for our patients while acting as a critical member of the entire care team.
The Office Lead will be responsible for providing mentoring, monitoring, and coaching of the front office team, as well as serving as a liaison between the Operations Manager and the office staff.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the lead for a team, conducting daily huddles and providing communication to teammates
- Communication with Central Operations
- Greeting and checking-in patients, collecting co-pays and payments
- Interview patients for the purpose of gathering health history and current medications - health screening
- Participate in mandatory staff meetings as needed
- Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls
- Work closely with Eligibility Team for insurance inquiries
- Help organize and maintain office common areas
- Promote TOI's culture of exceptional behavioral standards for customer service
- Maintain and protect confidentiality and security of all organizational information gained in the course of performing job responsibilities including but not limited to, financial and client information
- Assist with coordination of time off and staff coverage needs
- Handle complex patient situations
- Train new staff
- Float to other offices as needed
- Inventory of supply levels and communication with Operations Manager on supply needs
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. required
- Medical Assistant Diploma
- Strong computer skills: google drive, Microsoft Excel, Word
- Three years' experience as a front office associate, medical receptionist, or similar
- Reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish
