Motherhouse Beautician

The Motherhouse Beautician provides hair care: shampoo, cut, perm, style etc. for the Sisters of St. Francis and Carmelite Sisters. She/he gives witness to the Franciscan values of reconciliation, peace and justice, responsible stewardship and respect for the individual.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains appointment calendar
• Keeps a history of individual sisters hair care
• Submits individual service fees monthly to the Motherhouse Minister
• Does routine cleaning of Hair Care area
• Purchases supplies needed for Hair care and submits receipts for reimbursement

Qualifications:

• Technically proficient (able to provide shampoo, cuts, settings, permanents and limited treatments)
• Flexible
• Efficient
• Able to work with the elderly
• Working Conditions
• Room and durable equipment are provided. Towels and laundry services are provided.

Accountability

Beautician is accountable to the Motherhouse Minister
