Position Description
Stokes Counseling Services is seeking a passionate and experienced Eating Disorder specialist. As an Eating Disorder Specialist at Stokes, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized therapy to children, families, and adults struggling with various eating disorders. Join our treatment team as we grow this new program at our organization. We are looking for an Eating Disorder Specialist who will see clients in our office in Naugatuck, CT, or Telehealth.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to understand client needs and challenges related to eating disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, setting measurable goals and objectives
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Provide family therapy
  • Conduct Process groups
  • Provide individual therapy
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nutritionists, and other mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for the client
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal guidelines

Qualifications

  • LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LPCA, LMSW, and MFTA, Psychologist License in Connecticut
  • Proven experience working with clients with eating disorders, demonstrating a deep understanding of the complexities of these conditions
  • Comprehensive knowledge of evidence-based therapies for eating disorders including CBT and DBT
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be licensed to practice in CT and resident of CT or one of the following states, NY, NJ, MA, or NC
