Position: DIRECTOR OF SERVICES - PROJECT: ELEVATE
This position is fully in-person (no remote days available at this time).
Job Description
The Director utilizes participant-centered, trauma-informed, harm reduction and strengths-based approaches to empower individuals to seek liberation and reduce recidivism and support Care Managers working with individuals in a Community Corrections facility setting. The Director collaborates with partners and other community-based service providers to ensure participants have low-barrier access to services. The Director helps to develop Care Managers who are knowledgeable in the many avenues of healing from trauma and substance use disorders while implementing culturally responsive, gender-responsive, and trauma-informed care.
The Project: Elevate Director of Services is responsible for:
Supporting and directing intensive, holistic care management and transition planning services for residents serving a sentence in a Community Correction setting.
Understanding and implementing the Project: Elevate scope of Work and ensure that Care managers complete all required assessments, documentation, care plans, and reports by Community Corrections Standards.
Providing “in-reach” – including care management activities - to individuals incarcerated in jail or prison before they arrived at Project: Elevate.
Communicating and collaborating with The Operations Director, operations staff, partners, and other community-based service providers to ensure participants have low-barrier access to services.
Maintaining accurate and timely data in compliance with Community Corrections Standards.
Identifying and connecting participants with appropriate referrals to community mental health and supportive services providers and permanent housing resources.
Conduct behavioral interventions by evidence-based practices
Facilitates meetings and provides support and supervision to the Care Management team
Participates in administrative processes with and in the absence of the Operations Director
Supports Care Management supervision goals and helps support the professional development of the Care Managers
Oversees residential programming and collaborates with partners to provide additional services and programs to the program residents
Recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations; and monitors compliance with policies and procedures regarding program participants.
Other Responsibilities Include:
Attending all required meetings
Obtaining all necessary and required supervision and training
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must have a valid driver’s license or state Identification
Lived experience navigating the Criminal/Legal Justice System is preferred.
Restorative Justice knowledge and skills are preferred
Working understanding of harm reduction, trauma-informed services, and restorative justice is preferred
At least 3 years of experience working with a diverse population with behavioral health needs is required, 5 years preferred.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills
