Job DescriptionJob Description

Job Announcement:

The City of Alvin is now accepting applications for the position of Equipment Operator I in the Street Division. The purpose of this position is to be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of light to medium duty construction equipment that requires acceptable performance of simple, routine and repetitive procedures for operation. Perform manual labor as necessary. Maintain city streets, repair or replace street signs and perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements:

Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Possession of a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A or B or obtains within six (6) months of employment. Experience performing manual labor in a construction setting. Must possess a valid Class "B" CDL state driver's license.

Starting Salary: $16.79/Hour
