As an R&D Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and enhancement of Euroline’s innovative window and door products. Your primary focus will be on designing, validating, and industrializing new solutions that meet both market needs and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure that products are not only functional and aesthetically pleasing but also energy-efficient and sustainable.


In this dynamic position, you will leverage your engineering expertise to identify opportunities for product improvement, streamline manufacturing processes, and contribute to the overall strategic direction of Euroline’s products. You will be responsible for conducting thorough research and analysis to support the development of cutting-edge technologies and materials that enhance product performance and durability

Requirements:

Develops new product offerings and improves existing products as directed by the Product Development Leadership Team, including:


  • Project management
  • Complete designs for sales/marketing
  • Validation as required (internal, regulatory, etc.)
  • Print packages integrated into the Drafting and Configuration teams
  • Work with Engineering team to industrialize and launch products into production

Creates standardized drafting manufacturing output:

  • Creates standardized drawing packages for each product type
  • Works with Engineering and Production teams to set and standardize tolerance standards
  • Assists in the creation of product references
  • Stays up to date on industry products, standards, and processes and distributes information as needed.
  • Product design / development technical support
  • Component drawings
  • R&D Sample fabrication
  • R&D conceptualization team member
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Skilled and experienced with SolidWorks a must
  • Skilled and experienced with CAE software and tools a plus
  • Skilled with AutoCAD and/or DraftSight a plus
  • Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical documents (i.e. building codes, government policies, testing standards, etc.)
  • Able to perform engineering loading and stress calculations on our products as needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English with oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of chemical and physical properties of metals, including machinability, welding and how chemical and physical processes affect part features, i.e., dimensioning, tolerance, and finishing.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality System Requirements
  • Able to interpret instructions both written and oral.
  • Able to work in a team with co-workers to resolve work issues.
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of measuring instruments, calibration, gauge R&R, and measurement uncertainty. Understands technical standards, SPC (Statistical Process Control) graphs, units of measurement, and statistical sampling.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good judgment and decision making
  • Ability to develop drawings and models from limited information
  • Originality and willingness to try various solutions when problem-solving.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Engineering experience in Windows and Doors a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
  • Talking. Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Hearing. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
  • Visual acuity requirements. The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.

Work Environment:

  • The worker is sometimes subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
  • Primarily office with heavy computer use.
  • Manufacturing area exposure to moving mechanical parts, oils/solvents, fumes, and odors that may affect the eyes, ears, nose, throat and/or skin.
