Responsibilities:

  1. Technical Leadership:

    • Lead the design, architecture, and development of complex mobile applications for iOS and/or Android platforms.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams, driving best practices, and ensuring code quality and scalability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and QA engineers, to define requirements and implement solutions that meet business objectives.
  2. Project Management and Delivery:

    • Lead or participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization activities, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
    • Track progress, identify risks, and proactively mitigate issues to ensure timely delivery of milestones and releases.
    • Mentor junior developers, providing coaching and support to help them grow and succeed in their roles.
  3. Quality Assurance and Optimization:

    • Conduct code reviews, testing, debugging, and optimization to ensure the quality, performance, and maintainability of mobile applications.
    • Implement best practices for mobile app development, including performance optimization, security enhancements, and user experience improvements.
    • Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and trends in mobile app development, and drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
  4. Continuous Improvement:

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes, tools, and workflows.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation and propose solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
    • Act as a technical leader and advocate for best practices, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation within the development team.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.

  2. Experience:

    • 5+ years of professional experience in mobile app development, with a focus on native iOS and/or Android development.
    • Proven track record of delivering successful mobile applications from concept to deployment, with experience in leading development teams and projects.
    • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  3. Technical Skills:

    • Expertise in programming languages such as Swift (for iOS) or Kotlin/Java (for Android).
    • In-depth knowledge of mobile app development frameworks and tools, including Xcode and Android Studio.
    • Strong understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and patterns, with experience in implementing complex user interfaces and interactions.
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON/XML parsing, and third-party integrations.
  4. Soft Skills:

    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements.
    • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies, and drive innovation within the development team.
