Facility Electrical Inspector

We have an opening for an experienced electrical inspector to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for inspecting electrical systems and equipment at our manufacturing facilities to ensure safe operation and compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspect electrical equipment including transformers, motors, panels, switchgear, wiring, devices, lighting, backup generators, and distribution systems
  • Utilize testing instruments and verification methods to evaluate electrical systems and components
  • Identify any deficient or dangerous electrical conditions and recommend corrective actions
  • Reference and interpret the National Electric Code (NEC) and other electrical standards
  • Prepare comprehensive inspection reports detailing findings, photos, recommendations, and required upgrades
  • Discuss inspection results with maintenance, engineering and operations leaders
  • Proactively monitor electrical rooms, panels and installations during your facility walk-downs

Requirements:

  • 5+ years working as an electrical inspector or electrician
  • Expert understanding of NEC standards and facility electrical codes
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards
  • Effective verbal/written communication and reporting skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving abilities

This is an onsite role requiring the capability to walk plant floors, access electrical rooms/panels, utilize testing instruments, take photos/videos, and document inspection findings.
