Job Title: Contract Medical Assistant - Corrections Facility

Company: TEEMA

TEEMA, a leading staffing solutions provider, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in supporting a corrections facility in Chowchilla, CA.

Location: Chowchilla, CA

Type: Contract

Pay Rate: $21/hr

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Responsibilities:

- Provide medical assistance and support within the corrections facility setting.

- Perform routine clinical tasks, including taking vital signs, administering medications, and assisting healthcare providers as needed.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with facility protocols.

- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.

- Adhere to all relevant safety and security procedures within the corrections environment.

Qualifications:

- Completion of a Medical Assistant program and relevant certification.

- Previous experience working in a corrections facility is advantageous.

- Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinical procedures.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

Requirements:

- Must have a valid Medical Assistant certification.

- Current CPR/BLS certification.

- Ability to pass background checks required for working in a corrections facility.
