The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems used in aerospace and defense products. This role involves working with precision tools and equipment to ensure high-quality standards and adherence to engineering specifications.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly Tasks:
  •  Assemble mechanical components according to blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
  •  Use hand and power tools to fit, align, and secure parts.
  •  Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
  •  Conduct functional tests on assembled components to ensure proper operation.
Quality Control:
  •  Inspect parts and assemblies for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  •  Identify and troubleshoot assembly issues, making necessary adjustments or repairs.
  •  Maintain accurate records of assembly processes and quality checks.
Collaboration:
  •  Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to resolve technical issues.
  •  Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any concerns.
Safety and Compliance:
  •  Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  •  Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.

Skills Knowledge and ExpertiseEducation:
  •  High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience:
  •  Previous experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in the aerospace or defense industry.
  •  Familiarity with precision machining and assembly techniques.
Skills:
  •  Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
  •  Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  •  Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  •  Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  •  Good communication and teamwork skills.
