Pave Talent, in collaboration with a prominent non-profit organization, is searching for a passionate and talented Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselor II. Role Impact:


As a SUD Counselor II, you will be instrumental in guiding and supporting youth aged 12-17 through their recovery journey, providing individual, family therapy, and psychoeducational groups, all in a strength-based and client-driven manner. Your work will directly contribute to the well-being and recovery of young individuals, helping them pave their way to a healthier future.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct substance abuse assessments and provide clinical/recovery services, including individual counseling and family therapy.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational and therapeutic groups addressing life skills, relapse prevention, and coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide holistic and integrated care to clients.


Candidate Profile:

  • Required Education and Experience: Licensed LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or registered AMFT/ASW/APCC, and certified as a SUD Counselor in California or willing to get a certification.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with co-occurring and/or substance abuse services. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Personal Attributes: Passionate about working with youth, creative in problem-solving, and able to work independently. Must possess a deep understanding of trauma-informed, client-driven, and culturally competent care.
