What will you do as an Infection Control and Staff Development Nurse

  • In this dual role- you will partner with the Director of Nursing and Medical Director.
  • Responsible for providing hands on training for our nursing team. This involves being accountable for decreasing the incidence and transmission of infectious diseases between residents, staff, visitors and the community.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedure of the facility which include hands on training.
  • Responsible for implementing and monitoring policies and procedure of the facility which include hands on training. You ensure that all monthly nursing education it completed by staff and help orient new employees.

What you need as an Infection Control and Staff Development Nurse

  • Licensed as an RN
  • Previous experience in a long term care facility
  • Previous staff development experience
  • Ability to perform physical tasks typically performed in RN work
