We are currently searching for a Mold Setter/Processor to join our team

Family owned and operated since 1918, our mission is to safeguard your jobsite with quality and innovative solutions with a commitment to safety, ease of use and reliability.Available Shift: 1st shift = 6:00 AM –4:30 PM (M – TH)Other Shift Option includes: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (M-TH)General Purpose: Injection molding machine setters set -up and tear-down molds in machines that transform plastic compounds into a wide variety of consumer goods. The Mold Setter/Processor will be part implementing best practices for operating machines, maintaining consistent process for all parts, quality verification, basic maintenance and trouble shooting and will maximize machine up-time.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Machine mold set-up/tear-down activities. Load and position tools into presses and perform changeovers.
  • Set up all job orders and perform mold changes per schedule.
  • Perform mold changes in a safe, accurate, and efficient manner, and complete die change check lists.
  • Work efficiently to reduce downtime when changing molds.
  • Able to work in a team with another mold setter to reduce change over time.
  • Organize and prioritize in order to meet goals to reduce machine downtime.
  • Observe continuous operation of automatic and operator machines to ensure that products meet specifications and to detect jams or malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
  • For insert or overmolded jobs, remove finished or cured products from molds, using hand tools, air hoses, and other equipment as necessary.
  • Visually check parts for changes in color, texture and conformity with part standards.
  • Handle and trim excess material from parts.
  • Granulate and reclaim any scrap, runners, and sprues that are being generated.
  • Package, label, and weigh scale molded parts.
  • Utilize Production paperwork to track time, quantity and scrap in ERP system.
  • Communicate with Processors or Supervisor when a quality issue is found.
  • Know the basic elements of a non-conforming plastic part such as non-fill, burn, flash, etc.
  • Assist material handler if required during machine change over.
  • Report any machine deficiencies to molding maintenance or Supervisor
  • Clean and maintain equipment, machinery, and workstations on a daily basis.
Minimum Qualifications, Education and Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in injection molding and mold changing.
  • Proficient with the functions and capabilities of injection molding machinery.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong mechanical ability
