Aftermarket Sales/Service Technician

Job Title: Aftermarket Sales/Service Technician
Job Summary: This position provides oversight and coordination for the fulfillment of goods and services for non-project related customer activities and demands. This role is a key ensuring “aftermarket” (non-project related) customer activities and demands are scheduled and executed as per Customer expectations and within Autotec capabilities. Areas of coordination and fulfillment responsibility included but not limited to; maintenance agreements, rebuild, warrantee, operational assistance, trouble shooting, problem solving, and training. You will be the frontline representative of our company, ensuring that our customers receive top-notch service and support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor, track and execute aftermarket Customer field service and service material orders
- Schedule aftermarket service material orders in line with Customer requirements, Autotec delivery capabilities, and Autotec service technician availability.
- Fulfillment maintenance agreement obligations per the specifics of each maintenance agreement
- Monitor and ensure Customer satisfaction with Autotec services actively following up with customers to ensure equipment is running efficiently
- Receive incoming requests and cold calling for parts and/or service (from Customers, Sales, or Engineering), enter information and provide sales quotes accordingly
- Review field service reports for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Educate customers on the benefits of additional services and products
- Assist Customers with trouble shooting, problem solving and develop associated resolution plans
- Provide hands on field service as necessary
- Keep the service manager informed of issues in the field so appropriate action can take place
- Collaborate with the sales team to generate leads and close sales for aftermarket products and services
- Travel as needed
- Follow corporate policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of Autotec’s product line
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Mechanical aptitude, technical degree, and/or related work experience
- Judgement and decision making – consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one
- Dynamic, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills
- Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills
- Ability to work with people to accomplish company objectives
- Ability to make decisions and accept responsibility for them
- Management and organizational skills
- Cooperative and willing to assist others
