Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescriptionFS-Elliott headquartered Export, PA is looking to add Machinists to support our on-site production of centrifugal air compressor packages. At FS-Elliott our Machinist are responsible for the planning and lay out of complex machining operations; fabricates and assembles various types and sizes of product parts, tooling, and assemblies; performs jig, fixture, and tool work.
This position is hiring for 2nd [2P-10P] shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand customer requirements and ensure they are met
- Setup and run a variety of machining including but not limited to lathes, mills, and precision grinders
- Monitor assigned machines and make necessary adjustments to continue producing high quality components
- Inspect and ensure finished components meet or exceed internal and external requirements assuring the process has been completed properly.
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Run multiple machines concurrently (multitasking is a standard expectation)
- Selects the appropriate cutting tools to maximize efficiency and ensure quality of product.
- Fabricates complicated parts having many interrelated dimensions, compound angles, irregular surfaces, coordinate and exacting tolerances requiring the layout of parts, the selection and use of hand tools, and/or the setup and operation of various machine tools.
- Suggests changes in design involving productivity and process of manufacture to proper staff.
- Provides all required reports and/or correspondence.
Skills Knowledge and Experience
- Possesses and maintains thorough knowledge of industry, machinery, and techniques.
- Knowledge of proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.
- Understanding of blueprints and routers.
- Excellent communication and math skills.

- Ability to manage priorities and workflow
