Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSMS Staffing Inc is Hiring Immediately for skilled Medical Device Assemblers Job Title: Operator IIJob Location: Scarborough, ME, U.S.A. 04074Job Type: Contract (possible extension or convert to hire)Pay: $25.50 an hourShift Structure: ONSITE, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per weekThe role of the Medical Device Assembler:
  • Utilize a microscope for extended periods to perform precise assembly, repair, and testing tasks on medical devices.
  • Handle and maneuver small components and parts with care and precision.
  • Perform assembly operations according to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure products meet regulatory standards and specifications.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve production targets and deadlines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the clean room environment.
  • Document assembly and inspection activities accurately and timely.
  • Utilize relevant computer applications such as MS Word and Excel for documentation and data entry.
About the Medical Device Assembler: The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in assembly, preferably in the medical device industry.
  • Proficiency in using a microscope for extended periods.
  • Experience working in a clean room environment is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable in relevant computer applications, including MS Word and Excel.
