Job DescriptionJob Description

Clarifi Staffing Solutions is currently seeking compassionate and qualified School Nurses to join our team for both Extended School Year (ESY) and Next School Year (NSY) programs in Illinois. As a School Nurse, you will play a vital role in promoting the health and well-being of students, providing essential nursing care, and supporting the educational environment. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of students while collaborating with a dedicated team of educators and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess student health needs and provide nursing care for students with acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor students with special health needs, including those with allergies, diabetes, asthma, and other medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans (IHCPs) and emergency action plans (EAPs) for students with complex health needs.
  • Educate students, families, and school staff on health-related topics, including medication management, first aid, and emergency response.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to promote a safe and healthy school environment.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, medical histories, and incident reports.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, including Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, to support student success and well-being.


Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
  • Certification in School Nursing or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe.
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in a healthcare or school setting is preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to promoting health and wellness in the school community.
