Full Job Description

We are looking for a shop mechanic to maintain and repair trucks and trailers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proficiency in the diagnosis and repair of all trucks and trailer equipment.
• Determine equipment condition by conducting inspections, diagnostic tests and routine maintenance.
• Perform all preventive maintenance and complete repairs in accordance with DOT requirements.

• Ability to diagnose all equipment fleet without supervision; ability to read, follow, understand schematic diagrams across a variety of component systems and equipment.
• Maintain paperwork documentation of service repair orders in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basis as well as documentation of labor.
• Operate vehicles/equipment in a safely manner.
• Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
• Clean and organize tools used for repair and related equipment

• Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
• Identify and communicate the need of parts for inventory

Skills

• Proven mechanic experience
• Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
• English literacy
• Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules
• Familiarity with mobile tools and applications

Experience level:

• Preferred 2 years minimum
