Howmet is looking to hire a Fulltime, EMT/LPN to join Howmet in Niles, Ohio. This position as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and/or Licensed Practitioner Nurse (LPN) responds to emergency situations by stabilizing patients before taking them to a medical care facility. Their main duties include arranging transportation to hospitals when need be and quickly responding to calls made by Dispatchers.


Shifts available: Afternoon and Midnight shift.

Standard Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones and greet customers in a friendly, courteous manner.
  • Communicate with staff regarding clients and service performed.
  • Schedule appointments for services and obtain necessary prior authorizations.
  • Perform assigned clinical duties such as urine drug screens, breathalyzer testing, injections, phlebotomy services and completion of vitals.
  • Properly and accurately document data related to the identification of the donor and completion of sample labels, logs, and billing sheets.
  • Adheres to quality assurance and quality control procedures in the performance of all screenings/testing.
  • Complete daily paperwork and documentation
  • Assist with client chart audits and work with staff and physicians to ensure proper documentation and billing.
  • Track drug screens to coordinate care and ensure completion of appropriate drug screens.
  • Performs other clerical duties including inventory and maintenance of supplies, copying, faxing, scanning and mailing as assigned.
  • Attend required training and maintain required credentials associated with the position.


Required Qualifications:

  • Valid EMT and/or LPN license in Ohio
  • Knowledge of substance use disorders and impact upon individuals seeking services.
  • Knowledge of medical procedures, operations and terminology.
  • Professional experience with management and staff supervision, including working with a team.
  • Must be able to form good working and therapeutic relationships.
  • Must be organized, detail oriented and able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Physical capacity to stand, bend, stretch, twist or reach out for varying degrees of time.
