JOB TITLE: Diverse Learners Manager STATUS: Full Time

ORGANIZATION: Marillac St Vincent Family Services

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Support Services

DIRECT SUPERVISOR: Senior Director of Support Services

SUPERVISES: Diverse Learners Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Special Education or a related field.
  • Prior experience in special education, diverse learner support, or a related field (minimum 3 year).
  • Strong understanding of diverse learner needs and instructional strategies to support them.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with data collection and analysis for instructional decision-making.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving educational landscape.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all students.

Additional Requirements:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of the diversity of the population in the service delivery area.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of child-care options, quality child-care environments, and community resources.
  • Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in the English language.
  • Additionally, proficient speaking, reading, and writing in a second language may be required based on program assignment.
  • Demonstrates effective written and oral communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively with parents and staff.
  • Demonstrates interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team orientated, collaborative environment and to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail.
  • Demonstrates initiative and self-motivation.
  • Demonstrates resourcefulness and flexibility with schedule as requested.
  • Demonstrates intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, and develops competency with applicable web-based systems used by the program within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Extended work hours beyond 40 hours/week when necessary, including evenings, weekends and for special events.
  • Typically, travel will be accomplished in day trips, though overnight trips may be required periodically.
  • Demonstrates respect and acceptance of diverse individuals and communities served by, working in partnership with or employed by Marillac St. Vincent Family Services.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance when the position requires an employee to operate a motor vehicle in connection with executing the position’s responsibilities, which include driving to and/or from any agency function.
