Pro Lift Garage Doors has been repairing and replacing overhead garage doors for the past 40 years. Our team of highly-trained technicians has the experience and expertise necessary to meet all of your garage door installation and service needs, whether the doors are for residential or commercial purposes. We are committed to offering quality service and support that will help to ensure your garage door is safe and reliable.

As a garage door technician, you will travel in a company work truck to the customers home to diagnose their garage door issue, build and present a quote to repair or replace the door, and either repair the door during that visit or return later and replace the door. Technicians must manage the truck, its inventory as well as their schedule and client communications.

COMPETENCIES AND SKILL SET OF OVERHEAD DOOR TECHNICIAN:
  • Ability to communicate clearly
  • Ability to upsell and close sales
  • Comfortable with face-to-face customer interaction
  • Charisma (have a personality)
  • Solid listening skills (you will not disappear if you stop talking)
  • Ability to troubleshoot and think independently
  • Organized and methodical work ethic
  • Ability to work outside and climb ladders
  • Ability to read and understand directions and instructions
RESPONSIBILITIES OF OVERHEAD DOOR TECHNICIAN:
  • Install or repair garage doors and openers and associated components.
  • Sell garage doors, parts, and service to customers
  • Diagnose garage door problems and make accurate recommendations to customers
  • Responsible for the safe driving of company vehicles.
  • Responsible for safe work site, equipment, and truck.
  • Complete sales estimates, and sales proposals for the customers
  • Reviews work orders for accuracy and completeness before departing to a job site.
  • Other duties as assigned.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule. This is a great job for college students or as a second job
  • Clean criminal background.
  • The ability to upsell is crucial for the success of the role
