Job Description: Journeyman Plumber

Overview:

Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, in residential and commercial buildings.

• Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing components.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues, providing timely and effective solutions.

• Perform routine inspections of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.

• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals to complete plumbing installations and repairs.

• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company standards, building codes, and safety regulations.

• Provide excellent customer service by explaining the scope of work, answering questions, and offering advice on plumbing maintenance.

• Keep accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job.

• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, new technologies, and local plumbing codes.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Journeyman Plumber License.

• Proven experience as a plumber, with at least 4 years of hands-on experience.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, and codes.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

• Experience with both residential and commercial plumbing.

• Familiarity with HVAC systems and related plumbing components.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

• Experience with customer service and maintaining positive client relationships.
