- Troubleshoot & Repair Audio Video hardware installed on the field.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Provide detailed reports of root cause issues found and how to resolve them.
- Assist with providing a list of hardware, components to replace and or fix to get the customer back up in operation.
- Assist with providing labor time estimates that are accurate for fixing and installing back-repaired hardware on the field.
- Ability to do hands-on troubleshooting & repair to fix: Touch panels, Speakers, Projectors, Microphones, Screens, and Conferencing Cameras.
- Setting up equipment, including LCDs, projectors, video conferencing systems, AV racks, and cabling and clean wire dressing on the field.
- Custom termination and repairing of audio & video copper cables such as: XLR's, RJ45s, DB9's, BNC, Phoenix, 3.5 mm etc.
- Running new copper cable drops, wiring, and wiring terminations as well as being able to test and successfully confirm new cables are terminated correctly.
- Perform administrative tasks with attention to detail including logging updates of resolutions, sending emails, and or next-step details.
- Work with end users and customers to review issues being reported remotely, over the phone, and or in person.
- Coordinating with vendors for additional 2nd & 3rd tier troubleshooting support.
- Scheduling and tracking repairs for hardware or RMAs for nonrepairable hardware.
- Coordinating with customers for status updates and repair timelines.
- Provide timely communication via emails and or over the phone to co-workers, vendors, and customers.
- Escalation for end user next Level support for any open issues that cannot be resolved.
Qualifications:
- 4 Years' minimum experience with AV industry installation and or support.
- College associate degree or Higher preferred.
- CTS or Comparable AV Certifications are not required but are highly recommended.
- Good understanding of audio & video signal flow.
- Good troubleshooting skills to pinpoint failures in a system.
- Ability to be creative and think quickly to find and resolve issues.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware for all major AV OEMs: Extron, Crestron, AMX, Shure, Dante, Biamp, etc.
- Ability to work independently and manage conflicting time constraints.
- Must have a current California Driver's License & clean driving record.
- Be proficient in Windows Operation System use and Excel, and Word.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. safely daily.
- Able to climb ladders safely daily.
- Organizational skills, good typing, and data entry skills.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional, friendly, respectful, and have a good attitude.
- Pass background and drug tests.
- Honest and trustworthy.
- Must be able to work an open 1st shift schedule early as 6:00 AM and Flexible to work OT.
