Description of Position

The College of Nursing is seeking applicants to fill the Pre-licensure RN Program Coordinator role. This position supports the department's undergraduate pre-licensure RN to Bachelor’s program. The position comprises approximately 50% program coordination responsibilities and 50% simulation lab technician duties.


The position is a full-time, 12-month hourly position and will report to the Chair of the Undergraduate Nursing program.


Essential Functions

  • Schedules and coordinates meetings and events for the nursing program.
  • Prepares and distributes agendas, minutes, and other documents.
  • Handles mail distribution, office supplies inventory and ordering.
  • Performs general office duties such as answering phones, filing projects, and data entry.
  • Assists simulation faculty with setting up and maintaining simulation equipment, assisting with executing simulation scenarios, and supporting an efficient learning environment for nursing students.
  • Operates and troubleshoots simulation software and hardware, including manikins and audiovisual systems as needed.
  • Provides technical support during simulation exercises and debriefing sessions.
  • Maintains the simulation lab as organized, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Ensures an inventory of supplies, equipment, and replacements as needed.
  • Works collaboratively with other nursing coordinators, including cross-training duties to ensure support as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of office support experience, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Computer knowledge and ability to learn job-specific software equipment programs - willing to train candidates with healthcare or office experience
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a high standard of work
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Compensation
