Job Summary: We are seeking an full-time Medical Canvassing Specialist (REMOTE) to join our dynamic team. The Medical Canvass Specialist will be responsible for canvassing of medical facilities such as hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies. This individual will call on behalf of insurance providers and must conduct themselves in a professional manner. The goal of canvassing is to obtain information relevant to an open insurance claim/investigation. This individual will also be responsible for obtaining records from various medical facilities in an effort to document a claimant's full medical history.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make phone calls on behalf of insurance providers to medical facilities to ascertain dates of service.
  • Obtain records from medical facilities.
  • Document all information gathered into detailed report.
  • Provide weekly updates to clients regarding progress of files.
  • Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Experience: No Experience Required; previous call center or medical (insurance) related experience preferred.
  • Education: High School Diploma Required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Skills: Organization, Time Management, Phone and Interpersonal Skills, Microsoft Office

Working Conditions:

  • This position is remote (US) and calls for an office-like environment where temperatures are constant.
  • Frequent prolonged periods of a stationary position.
  • Constant operation of a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine/printer. Frequent communication via telephone and in person with clients, customers and co-workers.
