In partnership with Nike, the biggest brand in sport and fitness apparel, FitLab is launching a new group fitness experience where members build their best selves with the help of world-class coaches, workouts, and community.


All Membership & Sales Specialists team members shall strive to ensure that exceptional service experience is always provided to both FTVs (First Time Visitors) and members. Revenue generation and membership sales are also a component of this position. Team members must understand the FitLab value proposition, membership packages, shift opening/closing requirements, studio sales process (consumables, memberships, and merch), back-end studio software system, and first-time visitor onboarding process. Additionally, all team members will be managed to the performance, activity, and behavioral standards outlined in the FitLab Handbook, and the Ops Training Manual.


Employees are designated as either non-exempt or exempt under state and federal wage and hour laws. These classifications do not guarantee employment for any specified period. The right to terminate the employment-at-will relationship at any time is retained by both the team member and FitLab. This position is a full-time position and will report directly to the aligned Studio Manager.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Selling memberships and promo offers; be comfortable with lead qualification and determine a client's buying criteria.
  • General studio operations and management during shift.
  • Creating an engaging and welcoming environment, customer engagement, and/or hospitality.
  • Actively work sales leads at varying stages of the funnel; client texting/email and class booking.
  • Ensure individuals are checked into the appropriate class(es); adhere to the company Fitness cancellation, waitlist guidelines, and partnership (classpass/gympass/groupon) guidelines.
  • Promote and educate FTV customers about class offerings and participation requirements.
  • Stay current on all promotions/campaigns; communicate features and benefits to members to build member knowledge.
  • Execute daily studio operations, including, but not limited to, answering phones, responding to voicemails, greeting and checking in guests, member enrollment, laundry, locker lockouts, maintaining a clean and organized reception area, restocking of bathrooms, maintaining consumable inventory levels, collecting payments (both cash and credit card), waiver processing, and member photos.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Membership and sales experience in boutique fitness or adjacent industries, 1+ years preferred but not required.
  • Must have the ability to prioritize and multi-task within a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of higher education preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 4-5 shifts per week.
  • MUST be able to have fun on the job while maintaining a high work ethic.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years or older to apply.
  • Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule - availability during the weekends, special events, early morning, late evening, and holidays as needed.
  • Must be a problem solver and a proven track record of complaint resolution.
  • Strongly preferred but not required: CPR/AED and First Aid certifications from American Heart Association, American Red Cross or American Safety & Health Institute.
  • Strongly preferred but not required: Clubready or Marian Tek experience.
