We provide a variety of services designed to be convenient for residential, light commercial, and industrial projects. Essential Functions:

  • Ability to read and interpret grading, plans, cut sheets, plan specifications and geotechnical info. Is experienced with all types of equipment such as front-end loaders, graders, dozers, excavators, and skid steers.
  • Responsible for safety on the project, including holding toolbox talks. Ensures that proper safety equipment and protection is installed on all equipment and reports deficiencies to the superintendent; ensures proper personal safety and protective equipment is utilized.
  • Accountable for compliance with quality specifications; ensures that there is communication between the project and Superintendent; responsible for quality workmanship and finished product.
  • Direct the performance of project, personnel, and report problems to superintendent. Sets acceptable level of expectations and communicates a positive attitude to the employees. Continuously monitors performance towards these expectations and communicates information to the employees to obtain satisfactory results.
  • Consults with superintendents, estimators, and managers to determine schedule and project needs for material, manpower, and equipment; is generally aware of the activities of other crews. Communicates and coordinates as necessary.
  • Accountable for project costs. Optimizes materials, equipment, and workforce for the work each day to ensure work is performed efficiently and under budget.
  • Accountable for awareness and control of project yield; for ensuring that the project conditions and procedures result in placement of the appropriate amount of material.
  • Accountable for setting crew manpower levels and for assigning the right people to the job; for ensuring that levels of tools, equipment, and material used at the job sites contribute to cost goals.
  • Strong organizational skills including ability to manage, motivate and teach crews.
  • Accurate and timely reports on all cost data and quantity data.
  • Communicate effectively, coherently, and respectfully orally and in writing with the public and co-workers under all circumstances.
  • May include snow removal, general site and building maintenance.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in site development preferred
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License with Air Brake endorsement preferred.
  • Clean driving record and ability to obtain a CDL. (Must be insurable on company's insurance policy)
  • Must have a "Safety First" attitude.
  • Experience with excavator, bulldozer, wheel loader is a must.
  • Leadership and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Must have good organizational skills.
  • Must be quick to adapt and able to thrive in a fast paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Self-motivated; ability to work independently.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Ability to remain focused in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Self-driven, disciplined, and dependable.
