SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

JOB TYPE AND CLASSIFICATION: Salaried Exempt

JOB OVERVIEW:
MAC.BID buys truckloads of customer returns and overstock products then sells these items individually to the public through online auctions. The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies to enhance our online presence and brand awareness. This role requires a deep understanding of social media platforms, excellent content creation skills, and the ability to engage with diverse audiences. The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with internal teams to ensure successful execution of social media campaigns and initiatives. This is a remote position with weekly on-site meetings/ option to work in-office if desired. This position reports to the Media Director.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with MAC.BID’s objectives and brand vision.
  • Create and manage monthly content calendars, ensuring content aligns with brand voice and objectives.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather necessary content and approvals.
  • Produce high-quality, engaging content for various social media platforms, including Instagram reels, stories, images, videos, and written posts.
  • Manage and optimize all social media channels, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social media channels, fostering meaningful interactions with our audience.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for accounts, providing regular reporting and insights to demonstrate the impact of social media initiatives.
  • Stay up to date on social media trends, tools, and best practices, incorporating new strategies and features into our social media efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to marketing and brand communication.
  • Increase visibility and engagement across all social media channels, driving brand awareness and audience growth.
  • Foster a strong sense of community and brand loyalty among our followers, leading to increased customer retention and advocacy.
  • Deliver measurable results in terms of reach, engagement, and other key performance indicators.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the marketing team by collaborating effectively and sharing insights and best practices

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in social media management or a related role
  • Familiarity with online marketing strategies and tools, including social media management platforms and analytics tools
  • Proven experience in creating and managing content, including graphics, video, photography, and editing
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent work experience)
  • A Passion for social media and a deep understanding of various social platforms, their features, and their audiences
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
