Cuivre River Electric Cooperative is Missouri's largest electric distribution cooperative, located in Troy, Missouri. You would be joining a team dedicated to providing exceptional IT support for a distribution cooperative. Your primary focus will be on supporting users both in person at our helpdesk and through remote assistance via phone and electronic communication.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining user security for the network, ensuring all user accounts and access controls are properly managed and safeguarded.
  • Administering and maintaining network hardware and software, including servers and desktop PCs, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Providing backup support to the PC Support Coordinator, assisting with troubleshooting and resolving user issues as needed.
  • Providing backup support to the Cybersecurity Specialist, contributing to the protection of our network and data from potential threats.

Preferred Educational and Experience Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Information Technology or related field.
  • Active certifications with Cisco is a plus.
  • Five years of industry experience managing Cisco powered networks.
  • Experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall products preferred.
  • Three years of experience administering Windows Servers, Microsoft Exchange and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Previous experience in a virtualized environment (VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix) is required.

Position requires flexible working hours and limited travel for training statewide and nationally. Subject to occasional call out during outages or other emergencies. A valid Missouri driver's license is required. Requires extensive sitting and use of a personal computer. This position is onsite at the Troy, Missouri location.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer.
  • Ability to move about the office to access network hardware and assist users.
  • Manual dexterity to operate computer keyboards and other standard office equipment.
  • Visual acuity to read computer screens and printed documents.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 25 pounds occasionally.
