Working under administrative direction oversees all operations and services associated with residential programs and services. Ensures that assigned work unit(s) operates in an efficient and effective manner. Ensures that proper policies, procedures, and protocols are developed and in place, required reporting is completed, and all standards are met. Works with the Clinical Director and the Operations Director to ensure treatment compliance. Responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, control, and completion of tasks associated with the residential services, case management and client services. Manages staff assigned to these operations and ensures policies, procedures, and protocols are followed. Performs other related duties as assigned.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (These duties are illustrative only. Incumbents may perform some or all of these duties or other job-related duties as assigned.)

Plans, directs, coordinates, monitors all activities associated with and assigned to the residential services department; prepares reports, training, and presentations as needed; communicates and relays pertinent information and facilitates problem solving with management and others delegated by supervisor; identifies areas for improvement and acts to implement change towards continuous quality improvement; participates in interviewing, training, and supervising assigned staff; provides positive supervision of assigned staff; ensures that assigned staff meets or exceeds productivity requirements; establishes staff work schedules, review and approve staff timecards, leave requests, and other documentation as required; makes meaningful observations, evaluations and completes reports, and conducts checks against a variety of records/sources to obtain complete and accurate information; ensures that agency and other applicable policies and procedures are adhered to; ensures compliance with accrediting bodies; ensure the safety, security, and efficiency of the facility; schedules and facilitates residential care management meetings and quarterly individual supervisions; provides assessments of clients, implements client treatment plans and evaluates response to treatment; provides accurate and complete documentation to validate supervisory and professional actions; maintain an average of 15 billable hours per week; complete required documentation within 24 hours of service.

Minimum Qualifications:

Baccalaureate degree from a college university and a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience is required. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five years’ experience can be substituted. Prior case management experience in behavioral health and/or SUD is preferred; must possess current CDCA certification and complete agency required QMHS training within 30 days of hire; CPR certification within 90 days of employment.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Demonstrated knowledge of case management practices and protocols; Knowledge of the concept of team building and constructive leadership; knowledge of substance abuse and mental health programming; excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office; must have excellent oral and written communication skills; must be able to problem solve and to be able to operate independently in the absence of supervisor; must be detailed and deadline oriented; ability to meet changing demands and exhibit a high degree of professionalism; demonstrated ability to meet deadlines; ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff, clients and other agencies and the public.
