As a Shipping and Receiving Lead, you will manage all aspects of shipping and receiving. In this role, you are a crucial part of the customer relationship as you troubleshoot customer issues. You will maintain up-to-date inventory records, retrieve stored data, and reply to inventory levels and delivery schedules inquiries.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for the accurate receipt and shipment of incoming materials, supplies, and products.
  • Receives goods, verifies items against the record of shipment and inspects condition.
  • Gathers verifies and packs items for shipment according to specifications and the transportation method.
  • Records received and shipped items according to established procedures.
  • Frequently reports to a Operations.
  • Maintain and manage inventory.

 

Qualifications

  • Work independently with minimal supervision and professionally resolve conflict.
  • Must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above the waist at a maximum of seventy pounds
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing setting or a related position.
  • Must have 3 to 5 years forklift experience.
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • A great sense of humor
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time
  • Ability to operate computers (or learn to do so)


Work Environment: Employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock, and vibration.  Noise Level: Medium Loud


Position Type/Work Hours: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

 

Required Education and Experience

Trade-School, High School Diploma/GED


Salary/Benefits:  FLSA Status: Non-Exempt. Based on experience. Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401K, 14 paid holidays, vacation/PTO, and bonus plan.
