Sample Tech-UDD

POSITION:

Sample Technician-3rd shift

SUMMARY:

This position reports to the 3rd shift Supervisor. The position is 100% on site. Position is responsible for receiving and sampling incoming waste shipments.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Transfer drums to and from van trailer and storage building utilizing a forklift

· Take samples from drums utilizing a coliwasa and sample container

· Review manifests for discrepancies

· Observe material in drums for physical characteristics and record on lab data sheet

· Record log numbers in log-book

· Complete inventory sheet on loaded trucks

· Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations

· Perform general housekeeping

· Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to read, write, and compute basic math.
• Must have GED or high school diploma.
• Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Must be able to wear all applicable PPE per EH&S regulations
• Ability to work >8 hour shifts as well as weekends when production permits

Additional Desired SKILLS AND Experience:

· Ability to operate forklift and air gun

· 1 year of receiving or production experience

· Basic math skills

· Ability to properly fill out reports such as inspection and transfer/tracking reports
