  • Zollege is currently searching for a Part-Time Dental Assistant Instructor to join the Baton Rouge Team
  • The working hours for this position is held on Saturdays from 7am - 6 pm
  • Additionally, monthly Zoom meetings are held in the evenings.

Hourly Rate: $20-22


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for each class by reviewing our curriculum that we provide for each instructor, which may utilize lab stations.
  • Demonstrate dental skills/procedures and assist students as they practice hands-on in the lab.
  • Evaluate individual/group performance and make any necessary adjustments to meet student learning needs.
  • Enforce classroom management and ensure that safety precautions are adhered to.
  • Ability to convey curriculum and pertinent skills via *lecture* and hands-on demonstrations.
  • Emailing, printing, scanning, troubleshooting, connecting to WiFi, and other basic computer abilities are required 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED (Required)
  • 5+ years of recent dental assistant or chair-side experience (Required)
  • CPR/BLS certification (Highly Preferred)
  • Familiarity with Dentrix (Highly Preferred)
  • A passion for helping others achieve their personal goals.
  • Strong communication skills

Our 12-week program is designed to offer accessible education to students from all backgrounds. Unlike traditional classroom settings, our classes take place in a dental office, allowing students to learn in the same environment they will work in after graduation. Our instructors have extensive chair-side experience, ensuring that students receive the highest quality education available.
