Job DescriptionJob Description

The EE Development & Compliance Coordinator will work with the training and compliance departments to optimize training and ensure logistics for our various initiatives. This role involves helping plan quarterly sessions, supplying new hires with essential materials for training programs. The role will maintain precise attendance records, manage a database of training modules, and support professional development tracking. Essential duties also include coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining compliance records, and facilitating communication across departments.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan quarterly meetings and training sessions for maritime personnel.
  • Provide new hires with training materials and guidance for upcoming sessions.
  • Organize and oversee various skills training programs for vessel employees.
  • Procure training manuals, guides, and supplies required for training sessions.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and track overall class completion rates.
  • Manage a database of computer-based training, ensuring completion of assigned modules.
  • Support the monitoring and tracking of professional training programs.
  • Assist the crewing department in monitoring the expiration of MMC licenses, TWIC cards, medical certificates, and other critical documents using Helm.
  • Arrange travel logistics for vessel employees attending meetings and training events.
  • Maintain records for annual safety performance awards and recognition.
  • Review and distribute vessel documentation and submissions to relevant personnel.
  • File and organize paperwork for the compliance and safety department.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams
  • Knowledge of BargeOps, HELM & other onboard software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with maritime industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Tankerman and /or deckhand experience.

Physical Capabilities:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to carry, push, pull or move 10 pounds regularly, or up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ascend/Descend a 90 degree ladder up to 40 feet.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time
