Job DescriptionJob DescriptionHIGHWAY MAINTENANCE WORKERMonday, Tuesday and some Wednesdays8:00 am – 3:00 pm$12.00 per hourESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Receive and carry out directions and instructions from the Superintendent, Lead Person, or his/her Designee daily.
- Cleanup of debris and materials from the roads will be required. i.e. rubber tire fragments, wood, plastic, etc.
- Cleanup of roadway drainage system; drain holes associated with the curb gutter on the roadside.
- Conducting other job-related duties is required.
- Perform general labor assignments and other tasks from time to time as may be needed or required in context with the job or position.
- Maintain safe work environment appropriately wearing/using all required personal protective equipment and properly following established safety procedures.
- Clean and perform routine maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
- Perform pre-trip safety inspections for assigned equipment and refer defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
- Ability to lift object, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs physical labor.
- Bilingual preferred
