As we continue to expand, BoatJunkie Sales and Service is seeking a skilled and experienced Prep and Rigging Technician.

Ideal Candidate will efficiently prep and rig sold boats for delivery to ensure customer has a safe and enjoyable operation experience.

Responsibilities:


1. Execute on all details of our Company Vision, Mission, and Values statements.

2. Deliver world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive service experience for all customers.

3. Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment.

4. Ensure all safety policies and procedures are adhered to, stay shaded and hydrated, and always wear appropriate protective gear.

5. Maintain effective communication with the service and parts department.

6. Install Yamaha and Mercury engines outboard engines and rigging according to manufacturer specifications.

7. Prep various boat systems as found in the boat lines we represent.

8. Perform mechanical rigging including but not limited to PowerPoles, propellors, batteries, trim tabs, turbo swing, etc.

9. Perform electronics rigging including but not limited to GPS, VHF, GOST, radars, autopilots, SeaKeepers, etc.

10. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and other preventive measures to ensure the overall health and performance of the boat.

11. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.

12. Adhere to industry standards and regulations to ensure that repairs and modifications meet safety and environmental requirements.

13. Ensure all warranty repairs are completed according to manufacturers and company guidelines.

14. Complete manufacturer and company required paperwork, and relay to appropriate person.

15. Safely transport and operate customer vessel during water testing.

16. Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained and in good repair and returned to proper storage location at end of shift.

17. Monitor safety and condition of company vehicle and trailers. Notify Service manager of maintenance, damage, or repairs needed immediately upon discovery.

18. Participate in setup, breakdown and throughout special events including boat shows, and any other on or off-site promotions.

19. Positively promote the company brand, attitude, and lifestyle.

20. Maintain awareness and adhere to company policies.

21. Attend training seminars and certification classes as needed.

22. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:


Technical or vocational training in marine mechanics preferred

5 years of experience in boat rigging, marine mechanics, or a related field

Proficiency in using hand and power tools for installation and assembly

Strong mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for detail and precision

Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
