Sr. Project Engineer or Project Manager - Infrastructure/Public Works

This position will aid in the expansion of infrastructure design services in the Coastal Bend region by overseeing all areas of public and private projects. The ideal individual will lead and grow personnel, help prepare bids, and negotiate client rates.

The ideal applicant will foster client connections by leading initiatives and actively engaging with them. This job will be responsible for project review and sealing, as well as supervising the work of other engineers.

This individual will be in charge of billing and managing the work, as well as creating and maintaining excellent customer relationships and technical monitoring of project budget performance. Must have working knowledge of the Corpus Christi region. In this capacity, you will establish and maintain positive client connections with political leaders from the region's local government agencies, as well as potential municipal and private clients, all while displaying leadership and business development abilities.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead and grow the infrastructure staff
  • Establish and maintain positive client relationships with the technical and political leaders of the region's local government agencies, including potential municipal and county clients.
  • Responsible for developing infrastructure design services in the Coastal Bend area.
  • Relationship building- Lead and actively engage in potential client relationship building.
  • Responsible for reviewing and sealing infrastructure projects, as well as managing the work of other engineers.
  • Responsible for billing, controlling, and monitoring the financial performance of project budgets.
  • Manage all areas of the public and private infrastructure projects.
  • Create and negotiate offers with clients.

Required Experience:

  • Experience managing project engineers, designers, and project people.
  • Working knowledge of the Coastal Bend region.
  • Demonstrate leadership and business growth skills.
  • Experience managing client interactions, budgeting, invoicing, and scheduling. Capable of leading several projects in a fast-paced workplace. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

EDUCATION

  • Licensed Professional Engineering in Texas
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of similar combined city and county local design and management experience
