Custodian

HGR is looking for an Industrial Custodian. The ideal candidate will be someone who takes great pride in their work and who continually ensures the cleanliness of our warehouse and office environment. They perform daily operations like cleaning and sanitizing floors and bathrooms, managing waste disposal appointments, and performing clean-up operations. Attention to detail and being self- starter are key in this role.

• Dusting, sweeping, and general cleaning of assigned areas inside and outside of the facility.
• Operating equipment as necessary such as trash compactor, bailer, floor scrubber.
• Prefer applicants who can operate forklift and cherry picker.
• Making frequent inspections of assigned facilities and implementing corrections as needed to ensure compliance with standards.
• Communicating with site administrators and other personnel on matters relating to their facility.
• Cleaning walls, ceilings, windows and other surfaces.
• Cleaning bathrooms, office and breakrooms.
• Prioritizing tasks and taking pride in your work.

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods
• Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
• Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
• Time-management and multitasking abilities
• Physical strength and stamina
• Organization skills
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to operate a forklift a plus.
