We have an exceptional opportunity for an I&C Project Engineer to join a global provider of clean energy solutions. You will be working to modify existing equipment and install new process equipment at our Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility. This key project engineer role will have you involved with all phases of the project starting with developing a concept, providing estimates, developing installation timelines, designing power and controls, supporting installation and testing of the equipment.

  • Determine project specifications and performance requirements for the equipment and system.
  • Define project modification to DC, single phase AC and three phase AC power systems.
  • Identify project requirements for modifications to existing control systems or installation of new control system hardware to meet project needs.
  • Specify project requirements for instrumentation, servos, and drives.
  • Provide rough order of magnitude estimates for changes and new equipment.
  • Update Process and Instrumentation Drawings, Electrical Elementaries and Loop Sheets.
  • Prepare technical documents for purchase of equipment, installation of equipment, and testing / qualification of equipment.
  • Communicate project information to all levels of the organization including technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of I&C experience with relevant work experience in power plants
  • Proven experience modifying equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Instrumentation, and project engineering
  • Nuclear industry experience is a plus
  • Advanced education / training is a plus

  • Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers, PLCs
  • Honeywell Experion Distributed Control Systems, DCS
  • 480 VAC 3 Phase power distribution
