Job Description

General Summary Of Duties:

Provide tools, supplies and parts for machinery for all areas of property operations. 

Role and Responsibilities: (Includes but is not limited to the following)

Provide and issue parts/tools for Engineering.  Function combines climbing ladders and stairs; stooping, kneeling, carrying in removal of material from shelving and tool wall; measuring/cutting chain, wire and rope to appropriate lengths.
Maintain parts issued and remaining inventory stock to determine ordering.
Record, initial/approved purchase orders on computer and enter budget expenditures in books.  Record completed purchase orders in budget expenditures book, filing in closed and open files.
Maintain purchase orders including: filing alphabetically by vendor name, and preparing approved purchase orders from files for call in.
Contact vendors and determine the best prices.  Calculate and type purchase orders.
Weekly attendance of staff meeting.
Monthly auditing and summarizing budgets expenditure reports from accounting. 

Qualifications

Performance Requirements: (Knowledge, skills and abilities)
Ability to effectively deal with internal/external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and solve customer concerns.
Ability to act independently.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete inventories/invoices and communicate with superiors and other employees.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to answer the multi-line telephone and provide information as needed.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to follow written and/or verbal instructions.
Basic mathematical skills necessary to complete inventory, order parts and audit reports.
Sufficient manual dexterity of hand in order to operate computer keyboard, typewriter, multi-line telephone, fax and calculator.
Ability to use ladder and cable/chain cutters to stock parts.
Ability to grasp, bend, stoop, lift, kneel, crouch, lift and/or carry 50 lbs., or otherwise, move supplies/parts weighing a maximum of 400 lbs..
Ability to move and work throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language clearly to ascertain and document important information, to follow written and/or verbal instruction and to provide clear direction/guidance.  Ability to relate to all levels of management and employees in verbal/written form.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in case of emergency situation and to read caution and/or safety notices.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to comprehend product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes.
Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision/multiple interruptions, exercise judgment and adapt instructions/directions from one assignment to another.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete production/job requirements and communicate with other employees.
Ability to climb ladders to access stock.
Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.
Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
Ability to alphabetize.
Maintain inventory of supplies needed to perform job function. Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with standards.
Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.
