Job Description: Ambia Energy is seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Controller to join

our finance team. The Corporate Controller will play a critical role in managing the company's

financial close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and leading a team of accounting

professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in GAAP accounting principles,

previous experience in public accounting, and a proven track record of success in financial

management.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the financial close schedule and process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial results.
  2. Review and analyze financial transactions to ensure compliance with GAAP accounting rules and company

policies.

  1. Oversee the preparation and distribution of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  2. Lead a team of three accounting professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship as needed.
  3. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory

requirements.

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting and analysis initiatives.
  2. Prepare and present financial reports and analysis to senior management and external stakeholders.
  3. Stay current with changes in accounting standards and regulations, ensuring compliance and best practices.
  4. Drive process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function to support company growth and scalability.
  5. Perform other duties and ad-hoc projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  2. 3-5 years of previous experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis.
  3. CPA designation preferred.
  4. Previous experience in public accounting strongly preferred.
  5. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
  6. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  7. Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and develop a team.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  9. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  10. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
