Job Overview
Equest Therapeutic Horsemanship in Dallas, TX is searching for a full time Stable Manager. Job responsibilities include coordinating care for 35 horses including feeding, turn-out, stall cleaning, ailment treatments, and maintaining appropriate supplies for horse care. The Stable Manager works alongside the Facility Manager and Equine Coordinator to maintain the stable area and health care of the horses. The Stable Manager supervises stable hands and the assistant stable manager, as well as volunteers within our program. M-F work week with on-call responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with horses and horse care
- Experience managing staff members and working as a team
- Reliable and physically able to perform manual labor in the TX heat
- Excellent communication skills- verbally and written
- Experience driving tractors and other farm vehicles
- Experience in Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, and Excel
