We have immediate openings for 1st shift Machine Operators in our Engine Head Department.

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Machining Technician to join our team and play a vital role in preparing engine heads.

Job Duties:

  • Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, guages.
  • Conduct pressure testing on engine heads to ensure they meet strict quality control standards.
  • Utilize hand tools, measuring instruments, and specialized equipment to perform inspections and minor machining tasks.
  • Prepare engine heads for final wash and assembly by following established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Assist senior technicians with various tasks as needed
  • Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts.
  • Check work pieces to ensure that they are properly lubricated or cooled.
  • Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
  • Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
  • Separate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal.
  • Calculate dimensions or tolerances, using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
  • Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, or engineering information to determine methods or sequences of operations needed to fabricate products.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (a plus).
  • Experience working with hand tools and measuring instruments is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn new procedures and adapt to changing work demands.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Hours:

5am-1:30pm

Work Environment/Physical demand:

Fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing setting, This job requires employees to stand for 8-10 hours. The environment on the shop floor is usually loud, hot, and humid in the summer months and involves standing on cement floors with exposure to chemicals and metal particles. PPE required and provided on manufacturing floor at all times.
