Position Summary:
Serves as the liaison between the kitchen and servers. Carries food trays to appropriate tables and serves food to guests. Responsible for preparing service stations, clearing, and resetting tables, removing all trays from the dining/banquet rooms and cleaning, and closing service stations.
Position Characteristics:
Service employees must excel in a fast-paced food service environment and have a positive attitude while providing exceptional customer service. Must present a friendly and upbeat attitude; maintain a customer-first approach.
This is a non-exempt, hourly position which requires a flexible schedule.
Essential Job Functions: *including but not limited to*
- Assist servers in their set-up, service
- Promptly deliver food orders from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Help restock food items and supplies on the expo line as needed
- Carefully matches all food items to correct orders
- Maintains cleanliness of service stations in kitchen while ensuring that the kitchen is free from clutter and that the kitchen floor is a clean and safe work area
- Assist the Dining Room Captain, servers, and other employees in assuring that the Club’s policies and procedures are consistently followed
- Assist banquet personnel in set-up, provide service, and clean up after banquet functions
- Attend trainings and meetings; move tables and chairs as needed
- Knowledge of the Club’s high standards for service and operating procedures
- Use discretion, work independently and as a team, and take initiative
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service to all guests
- Adhere to strict sanitation and hygiene standards to ensure a clean and safe working environment

- Previous food service experience is preferred, but not required

Appearance and Grooming:
All employees are required to follow the procedures set forth by the associate handbook regarding proper workplace appearance. Employees must adhere to their department’s specific uniform requirements.
Language Skills:
Ability to listen and speak clearly and concisely to maintain proper, effective communication with all members and staff.

Be able to problem-solve. Establish and uphold effective working relationships with others. Work quickly and accurately, both independently and as a part of a team. Exercise good judgment, perform detailed tasks; understand, and follow written and verbal instruction.
Physical Demands:
This position routinely requires sitting, standing, walking, kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, holding, twisting, reaching, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift at least fifty (50) pounds.
