Human Resources Generalist Overview:

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for managing HR policies, employee benefits, and daily HR operations to support the workforce. This role is crucial in connecting management with employees.

Primary responsibilities include providing expert guidance on HR matters, such as employee relations, recruitment, and compliance. And acting as a trusted communicator, driving initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness.


Key Duties:

  • Administer HR programs, including health benefits, performance management, and training
  • Lead and implement policies, processes, and training to support HR compliance and strategies
  • Conduct research and analysis for HR projects and recommend new policies to enhance department efficiency
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and HR trends to ensure compliance
  • Assist with recruitment strategies, job fairs, and employee onboarding
  • Administer HR surveys, exit interviews, and performance evaluations, and handle employee investigations
  • Maintain confidentiality with sensitive information
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and HR Director on communication strategies
  • Perform additional duties as needed

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of HR policies and benefits administration
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Experience with social media for job postings and employee engagement
  • Proficiency in HR data management and analytics
  • Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
  • HR degree or equivalent experience preferred, with 5-7+ years in HR
  • HR certification and proficiency in MS Office and HR software preferred
  • Customer service skills, with marketing or sales experience as a plus.
